Sydney is the busiest ARFF units in Australia, protecting more than 30 per cent of Australia's total regular passenger transport aircraft. This unit provides a water rescue service with two boats, a domestic response vehicle (DRV) for fires, rescues, fire alarms and first aid calls, a Morita turn table ladder platform vehicle (TTLP) vehicle for Category 10 operations, and an incident command vehicle (ICV) for communications, command and control of operations. The DRV is provided in addition to the aviation response to assist with maintaining Category. It is staffed by one officer and two fire fighters.

Hobart Airport, located just 17 kilometres from Australia’s southern most capital city along the Tasman Highway provides an international gateway to the island state’s famous heritage.
General:
Hobart ARFF fire station was opened in 1956 after moving from Cambridge Airport to the new Hobart International Airport, this making the current fire station one of the oldest in Australia. In 1995, a water rescue service was reintroduced at Hobart to accommodate difficult terrain operations as water is situated on three sides of the aerodrome.
