Airservices Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Anne T Brown as Chairperson of the Board, effective 25 July 2025. The appointment was confirmed by the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, the Hon Catherine King MP for a term of three years.
The Board acknowledged the depth of experience and leadership Anne brings to the role at a time when the organisation is undergoing significant transformation and preparing for the future of aviation service delivery.
Ms Brown was first appointed to the Airservices Board on 4 December 2019. She was appointed Deputy Chairperson on 13 December 2024 and Acting Chairperson on 3 June 2025.
Ms Brown is a well-regarded non-executive Director and executive with over four decades of experience in professional and financial services, renewable energy, aviation and critical infrastructure. Her expertise encompasses risk management, economic regulation, compliance, corporate governance and audit. Throughout her career she has held prominent roles, including Chief Risk Officer at ASX, and executive roles at Sydney Futures Exchange and KPMG.
She is currently an independent Board member of AusEnergy Services Ltd (previously AEMO Services Ltd), a member of ASIC’s Market Disciplinary Panel and a member of the AICD’s Scholarship Assessment Panel. Previous Board roles include the Clean Energy Regulator, CCP Global and the Life Insurance Code Compliance Panel.
Ms Brown holds a double major Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. She a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
In accepting the role, Ms Brown said: “I am honoured to be appointed Chairperson of Airservices Australia. The organisation plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of Australian-administered airspace. I look forward to working with the Board and Executive to support Airservices through its next phase of transformation and delivering modernisation of services to the aviation industry.”
Ms Brown succeeds Mr John Weber, who served as Chairperson from 2017 to June 2025.
