Airservices Australia welcomes new Board members

I am pleased to welcome Susan Ferrier and Douglas Bain as the newest members of the Airservices Australia Board, following their appointment by the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government.

These appointments ensure Airservices remains guided by experienced leadership and expertise, as we continue the critical role of managing the nation’s airspace safely and delivering aviation rescue fire fighting services.

Susan brings deep expertise in cultural transformation and governance, with over 30 years of experience working with boards across major Australian and international banking corporations, consulting, and legal firms. She is a board member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Financial Executives Institute, and serves on the People and Culture Committee at the University of Sydney. Susan also sits on the Board of Jawun, a non-profit that supports economic and social development in Indigenous communities.

Susan has been appointed for a period of four years, effective from 24 March 2025.
