Aircraft Noise Assessment/Certification form

PRIVACY STATEMENT: Airservices Australia administers aspects of the Air Navigation (Aircraft Noise) Regulations under delegation from the Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT). Personal information collected on this form will be added to Airservices’ Noise Regulations database, and may be passed to DIT in accordance with Airservices’ legislative responsibilities. The information will be used only for the purpose of contacting you in regard to noise issues related to your aircraft. Airservices will not use the information for any other purpose, and will not disclose it to any other party, other than DIT, without your consent.

Notes:

  1. Modifications which may adversely affect the noise characteristics of the aircraft include, but are not limited to:
    • engine power increase
    • propeller change
    • weight increase
    • exhaust muffler change
    • other changes affecting flight performanceApplicants are to include an attachment to this application showing details of the existing configuration of the aircraft and the proposed modifications.
  2. For foreign registered jet aircraft, details of proposed routes, Australian destination ports and any proposed Australian sectors should be submitted with the Application.
  3. State the aircraft registration mark. If the aircraft is not currently registered, state proposed registration mark if known.
  4. Aircraft noise certification information may be found in the Aircraft Flight Manual, or obtained from the aircraft manufacturer.
  5. Third party applicants require written authority from the owner or operator to make noise assessment applications on their behalf.

Special Note

Eligibility to operate the aircraft in compliance with the Air Navigation (Aircraft Noise) Regulations does not override any conditions on operation of the aircraft which have been specified under any other Acts, Regulations, Orders or Instructions administered by Airservices Australia, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority or other relevant statutory authorities. It does not imply that the aircraft has authorisation to operate during the curfew period at a curfewed airport.
