Applications to become an Aviation Rescue Firefighter will open in February 2019.

Applications for our next intake (course commencement September 2019) will open 4 February 2019. While this is liable to change, expected locations are Broome, Cairns, Darwin, Karratha, Melbourne, Port Hedland and Sydney.

From 3 pm AEDST on this date, you will be able to access the application via our Careers page, click on the ‘current opportunities’ link and apply for our next intake.

To be considered further you will need to have ready (and attach to your application):

  • Current Manual Driver’s Licence or Heavy Rigid Licence (or the ability to obtain this)
  • Year 10 and/or Year 12 High School Certificate (international qualifications that have been converted to the equivalent Australian qualification may also be accepted)
  • Proof of residency/citizenship documentation – Birth Certificate, Passport
  • Current copy of your CV.

We encourage you to have these ready in advance as late applications or submissions without these attachments will not be accepted and your application will not progress beyond initial stages. Please see our FAQ page for more details to assist you in your preparation.
