This week is Women of Aviation Worldwide Week, an initiative managed by the Institute for Women of Aviation Worldwide.
Airservices has partnered with the Institute to raise awareness of potential careers for women in aviation.
The sixth annual Women of Aviation Worldwide Week is a global outreach initiative with various week-long celebrations including information sessions and free flights for women in light aircraft at airports all over the world.
Airservices staff around the country will also take part in the Pink Paper Plane Challenge™ by constructing pink paper planes while taking the time to look back at the role women have played in the industry.
Airservices remains focused on attracting women to operational areas of the organisation such as air traffic control, technical and engineering roles and aviation rescue fire fighting.
