Australian Prohibition of Chapter 2 Jet Aircraft

Australia has implemented the program agreed by the International Civil Aviation Organisation for the phasing out of subsonic jet aircraft not meeting the noise standards of ICAO Annex 16 Volume I Chapter 3. Subsonic jet aircraft that do not meet the Chapter 3 standards will not be permitted to engage in air navigation in Australian airspace after 31 March 2002.
