Where are positions located?
Most engineering, systems and IT roles are located at Airservices head office in Canberra and our major air traffic management centres in Brisbane and Melbourne.
Corporate and support roles are mostly located in head office in Canberra.
Security and medical requirements
If you are successfully recruited to a position at Airservices, you will be required to undertake a security background check relevant to your role. The type of security background check conducted will be determined by the operational requirement of the position.
If you require access to secure areas of a Security Controlled Airport, then you must qualify to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC). If you do not have an operational need to hold an ASIC then you will be required to complete a National Police Check.
Applications for both types of background checks are made by Airservices after receiving all the relevant supporting documents prior to you commencing in the role.
All checks must be completed prior to commencing employment with Airservices. In the event that you are unable to meet the security requirements of the position, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.
All applicants are required to complete a pre-employment medical prior to commencing with Airservices, and in the interests of safety we test for alcohol and other drugs.
